Tablet mode is a user interface first included in Windows 10, which helps users use the device like a Tablet. Bigger icons, more space between icons, etc., are some of the identifications of Tablet mode. In other words, as the name denotes, Tablet mode lets you use your computer like a Tablet. The best thing about Tablet mode on Windows 10 was that you could use this functionality on desktop, laptop, and touchscreen devices.
What happened to Tablet mode in Windows 11?
As per many professionals, Tablet mode was never a big thing for desktop and laptop users. Small-screen owners could use this feature, but it was next to useless for big-screen desktop users. As a result, Microsoft deprecated the Tablet mode from Windows 11 and enabled the functionality as a default one for touchscreen device users. That said, there is no option to turn on or off Tablet mode in Windows 11 like you had an option in Windows 10. However, it doesn’t mean that you cannot use this feature. The only issue is that you cannot use it on desktop and laptop devices. Also, as you did earlier, there is no option to force Windows 11 to use the Tablet mode. There is no dedicated option to turn on or off Tablet mode in Windows 11. However, you can detach the keyboard to eliminate the Tablet mode on Windows 11. Tablet mode in Windows 11
As of now, there are two ways to get or use the Tablet mode in Windows 11. In other words, you can find Tablet mode in two different devices running the latest Windows operating system version. The first one is the 2-in-1 devices you can use without the keyboard. The second one is the touch-only devices. If you have either device, you can detach the keyboard to enable the Tablet mode in Windows 11. Having said that, you cannot find the same user interface as you did with Windows 10. Settings have changed and so do the options, user interface, and icons. You might find some changes here and there, but they are not significant enough or enough to compare with Windows 10’s Tablet mode.
