Slightly Different from Your Usual Office The Office in Windows Store provides almost all the functionality of a Usual Office suite. However, it does have a few differences in features. For instance, it does not allow you to install the 64-bit version of Office, leaving users with the option of installing a 32-bit version only. The Office on Windows Store also doesn’t let you use COM add-ins, while the OneNote included in it is also the Windows 10 version instead of OneNote 2016. The Range of Office Mobile Apps Available on the Windows Store Though the Office Mobile apps like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel are designed for devices with smaller screen sizes like tablets and smartphones, these apps are compatible with Windows 10S devices and run pretty smoothly. Office Validity and Subscriptions Microsoft will allow users to continue using the remaining time in their Office 365 subscription post the end of the preview period. Once their time runs out, customers will be able to renew their Office 365 through either the regular Office.com platform or the Windows Store. And the good news is, even upon upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, the one year of Office 365 Personal that will come with Windows 10S Surface Laptops will not be wasted, and users can activate it anytime. Windows users who already have an Office Home or Office 365 Personal access can also use Office in the Windows Store. Is Microsoft Office App free on Microsoft Store?
The app is free to download, but you will need Office 365 subscription, Office 2019, and Office 2016 installed on your PC if you want to use the Office application. The app is more of a dashboard displaying files accessed from your account, and click to open it.
Do I need to reactivate Microsoft Office after reset?
If you are using Office 365, you can sign with the Microsoft account, and it will automatically activate. If you are using Office 2019 and earlier, you will need to use the key to activate the Office product.
